About Us

The Anesthesia Clinic provides the residents of Blekinge access to anesthesia and surgical care in Karlskrona and Karlshamn, as well as intensive care in Karlskrona.

Approximately 270 employees of various categories work within the clinic. Each year, over 10,000 surgeries are performed along with an additional 2,000 anesthesias for examinations and other procedures.

• The surgical department in Karlshamn has five operating rooms and planned activities during daytime. This also includes a postoperative unit.
• The hospital in Karlshamn is a local hospital with inpatient care and an emergency department that receives patients by ambulance for assessment.
• During on-call hours, the Anesthesia Clinic staffs the hospital in Karlshamn with an anesthesia nurse who is also tasked with staffing the ambulance for primary and secondary missions. An anesthesiologist is on standby in the local area.

About the Job

We are looking for new hourly employed doctors in Karlshamn who will staff the surgical department during daytime and be on-call during night hours. We prefer that each individual doctor covers at least three weeks during the year.

Qualifications

You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in anesthesia and intensive care. Back-up competence is welcome but not required.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, and have good collaboration and communication skills. You are curious and driven by a desire to continuously develop further and serve as a knowledge resource for others. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Before Employment

• A valid driver's license (B) is desirable.
• Continuous selection may be applied.
• Applicants who are considered for employment must present a certificate from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment; we request form 442.9.
• Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
